For me growing up in a small town...white, blue eyed, blonde hair was what America considered beautiful and think it's the same today actually but actually there are so many shades and colors of the human race now that you would be selling yourself short if that's what you think and in the african american race, light skinned is considered better. Are these prejudices? does that make you a racist of some sort?
When you were growing up, what was "beautiful" to you? was it blue eyez, blonde hair?
Yeah it was blonde hair and blue eyes, which was of great embarassment to my family because I grew up in a well educated proud to be black and black is beautiful kind of family and I wanted to look like Cheryl Teigs!!!! For kids now it's much easier they can see all colours of the rainbow and they're all beautiful.
