I am a young african-american teen and over the summer. i am going to grow my hair out. What i am trying to do is wear briads for the whole summer then when school starts I am going to Press my hair.not (relax) perm it. Im through with perms. I want to grow my hair back out.any good ways for it to grow back fast?

Well,I can give u a good answer to this i think because a lot of my hair fell out after i got my first perm.Now after a year my hair is back down to my shoulders and still getting longer.You can get regular braids or cornrows.micros also work really well and they last long too.Wrap your hair up at night when u get it pressed.but pressing is way better than permsbecause they're straighter anyway.and thehre are two good greases one called sulfur8 and the other supergro by BB.it worked for me so i hope it works for u.

-take hair and nail vitamins

-eat healthy

-drink lots of water

-make sure that the braids aren't too tight, because they can weaken your hair

-keep your hair moisturized and clean

-when you do press your hair, try not to do it that often, because heat will burn your hair out fast!! (it's happened to me and now i'm trying to grow my hair out)

when i got interested in growing out my hair, i purchased her book and it helped a lot, but if u don't want to by the book she has a really good Q%26amp;A section on her website that gives a lot of information that's in the book. the book is a short easy read though!

but...fyi hair usually grows only half an inch every two months. it might be more for certain individuals, but taking vitamins will help.
