I'm African American, And Thinking of Dying My hair, a Nice Honey Colour. I don't want to dye my whole head, just maybe half light honey and my natural dark brown. I was wonering what kind of colour would suit me best, and is there any dyes I can buy that won't damage my hair. I was thinking of getting a non-permanent one, but I don't know i that would really work.

You should try some weave first. Buy the color you want and put it in like highlights. If you don't like it, just take the hair out. Also, if you don't want to use that yucky glue in your hair, Sally beauty supply has clips that will attach the weave in with your hair. Don't dye it if you are not sure. Your hair looks very healthy, and a home coloring kit will probably ruin it.

If you want ur hair gold just go for some moderate highlights. if u ge6t them too bright it doesn't look so good.

You cannot use a semi permanent color to lighten your hair. I would sugges getting a partial highlight to give you an overall honey look that is mixed with your natural color. If you have this professionally done, there is little chance it will damage your hair.
