I have very thick puerto rican(african american)texture. i have used the african american strighters in a box but they dont work as well. I have also used one from rite aid and that works pretty well but I want one that will last for a long time and make my hair like really really stright. Help please

go to folica.com. there is this flatiron that i use. it is the best flatiron ever. you'll never want to straighten your hair again. it makes it shiny and you'll look like you have asian hair. it's call sedu. i've used it for almost 4 years and my hair isn't dry or damaged even after all this time. as w/all heating appliances, you should condition your hair regularly and whenever possible try and give your hair a rest from all kinds of styling products. this is the best product i've ever used. i've straighten my hair so many times and nothing has ever come close or lasted as long as i wanted. it was never worth all the money. try this. it's great.

i think the best thing would be for you to go to a salon and get it done professionally........its really cool i have seen it on tv before and it works for like six monthe even after washing and stuff...the only thing is it may be expensive

you could just take a normal perm (for curling your hair) and comb it through instead of using roller to curl it. just follow all of the directions just instead of curling your hair keep combing it through, those tend to be really effective.

A hot comb. The kind grandma used before straighteners came in a jar. If you have PR kink hair - the hot comb works well (temporarily though), but won't awaken cancer lipids in your skull, like the remedies sold at those pharmacies you go to.

Try the hot comb, then use a hair Gel to curl or straight-set your dipidi-do.

Only one problem though: I think they stopped selling those steel hot combs a while back. Too many folks (that didn't know how to use them) were leaving 2nd and 3rd degree bald spots all over the place.

i use pantene pro-v for women of color.the shampoo and conditoner,then once my hair is a little dry i use silk elements glossing polish,from sally's hair care store.and then just use a really good straightening iron.with ceramic plates.and then part your hair and take small pieces one by one straigten,it will last for days.
