You should ask someone who has had extensions that is African-American. More than how long it lasts, it may just get irritating and itchy to leave them in too long. Plus, your hair is a different texture and African-American hair grows at a differnt rate then caucasian hair. I had extensions, but my hair has a texture between caucasian and African-American hair. I kept them in for almost three weeks but they started to look odd and I got tired of them in that time.
