How can i get my hair to look naturally curly?

I AM AFRICAN AMERICAN AND I REALLY LIKE HOW OTHER WOMAN OF LATINA AND/OR CAUCASIAN CULTURES WEAR THEIR HAIR SCRUNCHY AND SORT OF CURLY LOOKING AND IT KIND OF LOOKS LIKE THERE'S GEL IN THERE OR SOMETHING, BUT ANYWAYS IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO GET MY HAIR LIKE THAT, IF SO HOW CAN I DO IT?

*PLEASE ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS*

Those girls' hair is some sort of curly already. If yours is naturaly strait it will be hard to get that look.

My hair is wavy/straight/curly at the same time. I straighten my bangs and have short layers all in my hair that gives the illusion that my hair is scrunched and curly even though most of it is flat and wavy. Before i go to bed i shower, straighten my bangs, and then scrunch my hair with Dream Curls (a frizz-eaze product). Then i go to sleep with my hair wet. I dont like the gelled look personaly so i keep it dry and soft.

to get the scrunched look most girls use combinations of mousse, gel, hairspray, and other products. I would not know the effects of these on African-American hair. sorry, i hope this helps.

I suggest taking some really small salon type rollers from Sally's and setting your hair with those all over your hair in three sections. Once dry, Finger tease the curls and add a little serum/pomade.

its called wet curling..when you get out of the shower n your hair is wet use you hands n squeeze the water out..dont make it too dry
