the hair in my front is reallly long but when i put in a pony tail, the back shows and it's really short. At first I thought that's how ALL african american is but i was wrong.

get you some african shea butter (it's at walgreens for 2 dollars), it's a really light grease and it's really good use it at least 2-3 times a week and it will help your hair grow and catch up with the rest of your hair! You can also use Sea breeze, if you're not a grease fan. They have a sea breeze for the scalp, nails, and face. It's in a white bottle. just part your hair and use the sea breeze DIRECTLY on your scalp. It opens your pores and stimulates your scalp. Good luck!!!

Well if you wear ponytails alot... The back of your hair could be breaking off as a result to this. I recommend that you do a deep conditioner... And stop wearing ponytails as much. And it could just be how your hair grows too.
