hey,everyone i'm 21 yrs old and african american,six months ago i dyed my hair and about a couple weeks later i got a perm,and all of a sudden my hair started to break off and got shorter and shorter but my hair was down to my back the mid no lie.and then i started gettin braids and it broke of some more so do u guess know what was the cause for all that damaged? now i'm taking pernatal vitamins,dr.miracles and hair vitamins i also cut my hair n a short hairstyle with one track added and starting all over. but now my short haircut is gettin so expensive to keep up. do u guys know any low cost hairstyles. do u guys think i should get cornrows and keep taking pernatal vitamins and hair vitamins and also dr.miracles product? please guys and girls help me find a cheaper hairstyle.

When can I texturize and color my hair after bleaching it?

A week ago I went to the salon and got my hair cut really short and dyed blonde. Blonde was not the color I wanted because I don't think it complements my skin (I'm a African American w/ a dark complexion). The next day I put a semi-permenant color in my hair to darken it; which only lasted about 3 days.(I washed %26amp; conditioned it everyday). I want to be able to put a permenant color in my hair and a texturizer to get a curly effect. How long should I wait to do the two? I know my hair has had a lot of chemicals in it. It was Bleached, a toner was put in after the bleach and then a rinse the next day. How can I do the texturizer and the color without loosing my hair??

no, you can not put chemical, over more chemicals, you will give you self a chemical hair cut, and you will be blad, and it will be hard for hair to grow in that area again

ok, I'm an avr. African American guy who has short, short curly hair. But I'v always wanted to get it like Michael Jackson's (2008 MJ, not 1984 MJ). But I have no clue what to do or who to go too. It should be noted that I have sensitive scalp, should I use relaxer, conditioner, get a perm, or what. I don't know what to do, is there someone I can see or go to for this? Any websites that might help? And if I have to use something in my hair tell me the best product there is. Please I need your help. I'v had the same fade hair cut for almost12 years now, I need and want a change. So if there is anyone out there who knows a lot about hair please help, your advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

My boyfriend has had curly hair all his life. One day I jokingly suggested that I give him a relaxer. He actually agreed. We used a regular relaxer. Do NOT get a super, if you have a sensitive scalp. They even sell kinds made FOR a sensitive scalp. You should go to Sally's. They have a lot of products and the clerks are usually very helpful.

You will have to blow dry it every day. Or you'll have to use an anti frizz serum or spray. My boyfriend uses that, instead of oil. Sometimes I wear my hair "Michael Jackson" straight, but I had to blow dry it and flat iron/curl it, and use oil and an anti frizz serum, plus a spray. Lol. So, if you don't want to do all that, I suggest just the serum.

But, if your hair is super curly, your natural curl will start returning in about 3 to 4 weeks. It's okay to re-relax it then though, since men don't put heat on their hair they can take more abuse from relaxers.

Your not bad looking, perhaps your hair is a little feminine. But you seem like a nice person. You should listen to more american music like hip hop or play a sport or skateboard so some people can have a common interest with you. Dont be too nervous!

The only thing that you can do to help it grow faster is to just massage it while you're do your hair in the shower.

But now I want to grow it out, problem is that my hair isn't growing out, it always seems to have split ends, breaks off and is dull. It's killing me because my hair can look good when i style it but other than that it looks ratty so I wear it up all the time and I think that contributes to my hair breaking. What should I do..I have this shampoo and conditioner called Aphogee, it works good. What heating appliances should I use(puffy hair) and how should i wear my hair? What to do, I'm so stressed. I use organic root stimulator carrot grease and olive oil shampoo my hair was short and it grew it to shoulder length. Its all natural and its for black hair. To strengthen your hair and give it shine use jojoba oil. Also pink lotion moisturizer is good also to help stop breakage and to add strength. Also, stop blow drying your hair and wrap with a leave in conditioner like African Royal or African Pride. Heat does a lot of damage to black hair the leave in conditioner helps repair it. Also, African Royal is a daily doctor with everyday use you should see results in about a month or two. Good luck.

Be careful using Aphogee, if I am not mistaken this is not something you want to use every time you shampoo. Try cowashing (using only conditioner) like Sauve, VO5, Gariners. Braides are good to do when trying to grow your hair style out. But you need to learn more about growing healthy hair so plz visit the site.
